Hey Family and Friends!

I hope everyone is doing well. This week was a pretty crazy week because of the Japanese festival called Ohbon. From about Last Thursday till last Saturday, the Japanese people (Buddhists) believe their ancestors who died during the past year come back to visit them. So, it made doing missionary work this week very difficult. 3 of our investigators went out of town for about 5 days. So, we weren't able to do very much teaching at all. So, this week we focused mainly on finding new people. To do that, we did a lot of housing and looking for new places to house. Also, we passed out Eikaiwa flyers a ton and went to the aquarium two times this week to play guitar and pass out eikaiwa flyers. At this point, we find the guitar version of passing out flyers is wayyy more effective than our other versions. Then on Saturday night, their was a huge festival that ended ohbon. All the people went to the river and lit these cool lanterns and floated them down the river. It is supposed to be them kicking out their dead relatives and sending them back. Also, they do tons of loud firecrackers to send the spirits back. All of the Japanese festivals and culture are so interesting and cool. Well overall this week was a little disappointing when it comes to results. But, everybody always says you are going to see disappointments and it is not going to be easy. We just keep giving it our all and I know the Lord will give us success. I know that success will not be for us, but for the people we are serving. I just hope so much that I can be an instrument in the hands of the Lord that will lead someone back to our Heavenly Father's presence. Well, I love you all. Stay strong in the Faith. Your faith will lift you up at the Last Day. Stay safe and feel free to let me know how you are doing. I would love to know that you are safe and what you've been up to lately. Thanks for everything. Pray for missionary opportunities in your daily lives. I promise they will come up.
