| Hey Friends and Family! This week has been a good one. We had one really cool thing happen to us that usually never happens in Japan. While Housing, we got invited into the house! Usually, if they decide to listen to us, they just prop open the door and talk to us in the Genkan (place where you leave your shoes). But, we knocked the door of this super super super old grandma named kawauchisan. And she just invited us in. We went in sat down and taught her the lesson of the restoration. It was super awesome. Another funny thing is they always just offer you stuff like crazy. She wanted to offer us tea but we can't drink it. So, she brought out some water. But Japanese people feel really bad if they only give you water. So, she put a ton of sugar in the water hahaha. It wasn't good, but we appreciated the thoughts haha. It was such a fun experience. She was so nice. We gave her our number and are planning on visiting her again this week. So that was our miracle of the week. Other than that, this week has been tough in the investigator department. We have been having trouble getting in touch with a lot of our investigators. But, today we are planning to go out to dinner with 2 of our investigators, Judy and Mai. They actually know a less-active guy from the military branch and he is coming too. So, it should be good to see them all face-to-face since it has been a while and really assess where they are at when it comes to faith and having a desire to hear more. Other than our normal investigators, we did actually have a potential investigator turn into an investigator. Her name is Shiroyamasan. We answered a lot of her questions about the differences between the different Christian religions and taught her some of the Plan of Salvation and gave her a plan of salvation pamphlet. It was a great lesson. Also, in other news, September 2nd, we are planning an Eikaiwa talent show which should be super fun. Elder Devuyst and I are so excited. So, the work is still moving here. Our focus is on finding new investigators right now so we can really spark the work here in Sasebo. By the way, transfers are September 3rd. It is so crazy that this transfer is going by so fast. We have no idea if we are leaving or not. We find out the day before we leave. Well, I am really enjoying myself in Japan. And I am truyl enjoying the life of a missionary. I love doing the work of the Lord. I feel like this is the least I can do considering how much he has given me. I am so glad I have this opportunity. I hope everyone is doing well and is happy. Keep a smile. Try and make someone's day better. There is nothing that feels better than serving others. I love it so much. Stay Safe! Stubbs Choro |
