Hey Friends and Family!
I`m still good here in Nagamine. Right now I`m emailing from an internet cafe. haha. I never really thought I would use one of these but here I am. Well this week has been pretty fun. On Thursday we had a way yummy Mexican dinner at the Lowe couple`s house. We had chimi chongas. For most of the Japanese people, it was a first. Then, we have an investigator named Teramoto san who has a karate class at the church every week. This week we did our test to see if we were ready to earn our orange or blue belt. How sweet is that?! We find out next Thursday what belt we earned. It was really fun and reminds me of the old times when I was 5 years old doing karate just so I could get the cool outfit hahaha. Also, Teramoto san broke a bat this week with his leg. Pretty cool stuff. On Saturday there was a big stake missionary devotional. We have seven missionaries departing from this stake really soon. That is so amazing. It truly shows the strength of the church in this area. There is a girl and boy from the same family flying out today to go to Provo. Maesawa Hirohito (the guy leaving from our ward) is wayy cool. We got pretty tight. I hope he has the best mission. I really love seeing that aspect of the church and the gospel being so worldwide. He loves the gospel and knows it is true and because of that he is going to share that message to his people in Hiroshima. The Spirit was so strong at the devotional. It was an incredible opportunity to hear the testimonies of many return missionaries and soon to be missionaries. There is power in testimonies. I know that is true. Please share your testimonies with those within the church and those not yet members of the church. I promise that it will strengthen both you and the person who hears it. Well, it is weird to think that this transfer is almost halfway over. Elder Toomey is super close to going home. This experience is really helping me sit down and think about what I want to accomplish as a missionary. Because I know that my time here as a missionary is very short. There is no way I should spend my time except the most effective and best way. This gospel is so true and so many people need to hear it. I`m ready to tighten up my tie and go to work for the remaining time I have on my mission. In Japanese you can say. 最善を尽くすしかたがない。It means "there is nothing to do but give it your all"
I love you guys so much. I know that this church is true with all my heart. Jesus Christ truly is our savior and redeemer. Stay safe and Happy!
