Hey Friends and Family!
This week was an awesome one! Brother Nakao was baptized! We did the baptism on Sunday morning before church and we had a super spiritual baptismal service. His testimony was awesome. Also, he was confirmed during sacrament meeting the same day. He kept saying that he felt so good after it all. I know he was feeling the spirit really strong. I love him so much. Also, in our zone up in Nago, Brother Arakaki was baptized on Saturday. Our mission is being so blessed by the Lord at this time. We are just working our hardest so that we don't slow it down. We saw a lot of cool miracles this week finding. Most of those through the help of members and being in the right place at the right time. We had a really interesting one yesterday while heading out to do some work. It was raining and at night and as we rode our bikes we came upon a man laying underneath his bike. So we stopped quickly and recognized he had fallen and couldn't get up. We helped him up and he was crying and about 60 years old. He told us that he was really drunk. So we helped him over to a place to sit down. In his state of mind there would have been no way he could get home by himself. So we called all of the people we knew to help him but no one could so we called the police. While we were waiting for them I was talking to him trying to help him calm down and get him back into a normal sense of mind. I told him I was a missionary and at first he just kept telling me he wasn't Christian and how he doesn't believe in Christ. I told him that he needed Jesus Christ. We continued to talk and he calmed down and started to trust us. Before we left him with the police, he turned to us and said thank you, I am so grateful, thank you for helping me. Then he said I believe in Jesus Christ because of your kindness. That hit me so hard. I was not expecting it at all. But I told him the whole time that I was helping him because I am doing what Christ would do and will do for him. He rejected it the whole time until the very end. I learned the important of going and seeking to do good works. "By their fruits, ye shall know them" I think that as we do our best to serve like Christ, those we are serving will come to the Savior through us. I know that service is essential and I plan to continue serving to the end. I know that our Savior is the perfect example of Christlike service. I know that you are all doing so many awesome acts of service and I thank you for it. I want you to know that it will have an effect on the person you do it for. They will change. They will feel the pure love of Christ, CHARITY!
I love you all so much and appreciate your awesome example and support!
