Dear Family and Friends!
How are you all doing? I'm loving Fukuoka. It is such a big and fun city. There are tons of people. Our activities are so fun. So many people come to things. Well, some really cool things happened this week. We have an investigator named Funakoshi san who has never been to church on Sunday even though she has been taught every week for 8 months. We taught her on Tuesday and challenged her to come to church. She said it would be impossible because she had a meeting. We told her that we would pray for her to be able to come to church. On Sunday, right after Sacrament meeting started she came walking in and I just felt so happy. The Gospel is all about progression and she is moving forward. Also, On Saturday, we went to a free Japanese class at a community center. In the class, we met four Chinese friends that are sooo cool. One of them, named Chou san came to church yesterday! He was there for all three hours even though it was really hard to understand. We wanted to teach him really bad but we knew it would really really difficult in Japanese or English. But then a miracle happened. A member from Taiwan named Frank(His English name) came to church yesterday. He just happened to be on vacation and located the church and attended at our ward. Since he speaks English very well, he was able to help us teach Chou san! It was such a big help! I couldn't believe that it all worked out so perfectly. The Lord truly had a hand in that day. The Lord makes the right things happen at the right time. We are excited to see how Chou san progresses in the near future. Also, this week we were able to do some finding and it went really well. The Lord really leads us to those who are ready to hear the gospel. Oh ya, and news from Okinawa. Elder Bingham told me that Tim is getting baptized this Saturday!!! I'm soo excited for him. He has changed his life so much. A few months ago, he had no belief in God. And through the good example of a few friends, the Book of Mormon, and prayer, he is now ready to be baptized! I love this work and know that Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ leads it. I love you all so much and encourage you to get involved in this great work. It will bless your lives and the lives of those you love. Good Luck!
