Just a note from Charlie and Sandy...
Before you get to Kyle letter we wanted to share with you some excerpts from a letter we received from President Margetts this week. Kyle was called to be a Zone Leader when he was transferred to Nagasaki. The mission sent us a copy of the letter Kyle received and its message was so inspirational we wanted to share some of it with you.
..."Any call to leadership in the Church is a call to greater service. It is an invitation to examine your life to find a way to increase your vision, to firm up your faith, to deepen your discipleship and to strengthen your testimony. We encourage you to take full advantage of this opportunity and the recognition of weakness that comes with it to purify your life and take your life to the next level. ... Thank you for being such a valiant young man and missionary. The greatest blessing you can be to your zone will come through your example. Thank you for leading with love and kindness. We are grateful to be here serving with you. You are a key member of our mission team. We love you and need you! Thank you for accepting this call from the Lord."
Hey Friends and Family!
This week was a really good one. And busy and exhausting one. We worked hard in our area and met a bunch of our investigators. One awesome thing that happened this week was with David. We were only able to meet him for a little bit this week, but he got permission from his parents in China to be baptized! We are so excited for him. But, he still needs to get off work on Sundays to come to church. So, we are praying really hard so that happens soon. He is such a good person, just happy, friendly, and full of Faith. Another great thing that happened this week was we found 2 new investigators. One is the man we found in the convenience store the other day. His name is Kondo san and he just wants to be happy. The other person is a lady named Kajihara san. She is Catholic but is very interested in the Book of Mormon and the Restoration. We are very excited for those two people. Well, the end of the week was super busy. On Friday, we went up to Fukuoka for Zone Leader Conference which was really awesome. I love seeing missionaries from all around the mission. And we got to meet with President Margetts and discuss the mission as a whole. It was great and very spiritual. Then we went Friday night down to Sasebo (my first area). We had dinner with one of the American families, the Jacksons. We had Tacos! It was so good. We did companion exchanges with the Sasebo Elders, Elder Johnson and Elder Wise. It went really well. I was able to see a few of the church members and Judy (investigator). They are all doing super good. It was such a busy week, but it was really fun and there were lots of great learning experiences. Well, Zone Conference is tomorrow, but it is a special one. We are meeting with the new Elders from the Hiroshima mission that just combined with our mission. There are going to be about 100 missionaries there. I`m so excited. I know that this is the work of God. And that His hands are ever present in it. He loves everyone and that is why He called me and all other missionaries to this office. To bring to pass the immortality and Eternal life of man is His work and His Glory. He only offers it to those He loves. Luckily, He loves EVERYONE. I love you all as well. Have a great week and keep doing the little things. The little things keep your faith alive. Love you
