Hey Friends and Family!
Hope you week was great! It was a pretty good one here in Nagasaki. There were transfers this week. But, I`m still here in Nagasaki and still working with Elder Martinez! It should be a super successful transfer. But, this transfer the Zone changed a ton. Every companionship changed except for ours. Way crazy! Well an update on Katayama san. He`s doing great! His financial situation is still the same, but his spiritual situation is shooting up! He is really taking the lessons seriously and desires to be baptized! We are super excited for him. I really am seeing him getting baptized on the 2nd of October. He just needs to learn a few more things. He hasn`t quite recognized it yet but he has tons of Faith. He shows it everyday. Please pray for him the he will be able to keep the commandments and be baptized! Also, he is seeing tons of miracles from God in the way of food which he doesn`t have. For example, on Saturday we had an Elder`s quorum activity and it was to go walking around Nagasaki and learn about the history. And it just so happens that they provided boxed lunches for everyone. And they accidentally ordered a couple extra and he got to take them home. Then on Sunday, we ended up having this big birthday party after church for the members and there was tons of food. I am really starting to understand President Uchtdorf`s talk called "You are my hands". I`ve learned that the Lord will use us to help provide for others if possible. The reason for that is because the Lord wants to bless more people. If the Lord just gave Katayama san food, then only katayama san would be blessed by that. If the Lord uses us to give Katayama san food, then we and Katayama san will be blessed. So we must be on the lookout for opporunities to serve. We can become the Lord`s hands. The Lord can do it all Himself but He finds so much more joy in using us. It leads to more happiness. Eternal life is Eternal happiness. And that is God`s work and glory. I truly know that God loves each and every one of us. I would not trade the experiences I have had this far on my mission for anything. It has brought me closer to God. When you are lost in His work, you will become more like Him. Look for opportunities to be a part of His work. I love you all so much. Stay happy and healthy!
